First aid for victims is not only a prerequisite for successful further treatment, but often saving lives. There are situations when simple actions, performed in time and correctly, save lives. That is why it is important that everyone is able to properly and quickly provide first aid (home medicine) to those who need it. Sometimes you have to help yourself (self-help).
In the course of first (pre-medical) basic care) you will gain knowledge and skills:
- Basic life support: (assessment of safety of the scene, assessment of signs of life, ensuring airway patency of an unconscious victim, algorithm for calling an emergency (ambulance) team, cardiopulmonary resuscitation);
- Transfer of the victim to a stable position;
- Assistance in drowning;
- Safe use of AED (automatic external defibrillator);
- Algorithm for recognition and first aid in acute myocardial infarction and angina, stroke (acute cerebrovascular accident);
- Providing assistance for injuries (bone fractures, dislocations, soft tissue contusions);
- Stops of critical bleeding (application of a pressure bandage and tourniquet);
- Aid for high and low temperature injuries (burns, frostbite);
- Assistance in convulsions and acute poisonings.
During the training we show educational films, give lectures, use modern mannequins and other educational equipment and models, real bandages, tourniquets, gloves and other medical items.
Warning! In the process of training, we do not teach purely medical manipulations (injections), we do not give recommendations for medical treatment (this is the competence of medical workers)! The emergency course is designed for adult participants (from 16 years old) without basic medical education.
Given the duration and content of this course, persons under the age of 16 may not participate in it (for adolescents there is another program that corresponds to the age and ability to learn the material).
