First aid for children

The size of the group is limited to 10 participants in accordance with the requirements of adaptive quarantine!

Children are not a reduced copy of an adult, so when giving them first aid there are important nuances and special manipulations that parents and all persons working with children (grandparents, educators, nannies, teachers, governesses, coaches, etc.) need to know. .e.). This course meets modern standards of the European Resuscitation Council (ERC), the American Heart Association (ASA), as well as current regulations of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and gives cadets first aid skills to children.

The course covers:

Some features of the child’s body, or why a child should be treated differently than adults.

Safety issues and call for help, rules of communication with the dispatcher of the emergency medical care station.

Initial assessment of the victim.

Carrying out cardiopulmonary resuscitation for children of different ages by persons without medical education.

Transferring the victim to a stable position.

Help with vomiting.

Help with airway obstruction (airway obstruction by a foreign body) in children of different ages.

First aid for the most common life-threatening conditions:

  • with fever (high body temperature)
  • dehydration
  • in convulsions
  • respiratory disorders
  • in case of accidents in children (poisoning, etc.)

Recommendations for completing a children’s first aid kit during the course are also given.

The acquired knowledge and skills are practiced on mannequins using interactive simulation techniques. Cadets are provided with methodical materials. At the end of the course a certificate is issued.
